UPDATE, May 11, 2020: Due to the COVID-19 National Emergency, the 2020 Indy 500 Corvette Pace Car Homecoming has been rescheduled to August 14-16 to coincide with rescheduled 104th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge activities. (August 14 is now “Fast Friday” practice for the NTT IndyCar Series and August 15-16 is Crown Royal Armed Forces Qualifying weekend.)

Background on the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Pace Car Homecoming: The event is limited to the first 150 registered Corvettes. Indianapolis 500 Official Corvette Pace Cars or 500 Festival Corvette Event cars may participate. The entry fee is $150, and individuals may enter additional cars for $75 each — they must be registered by the same owner. Registrants receive two tickets for “Fast Friday” practice and Indianapolis 500 qualifying, plus an option to buy an exclusive event license plate (only 75 available on a first-come, first-served basis) and additional hospitality.
Headquarters for the Chevy Corvette Homecoming is the south lot of the IMS Museum, located just inside the Gate 2 tunnel off 16th Street. The event is open to the public and free with the price of grounds admission for Indianapolis 500 practice and qualifications, featuring the star drivers of the NTT IndyCar Series.
